Service Learning Program is one of the credited programs held annually under the coordination of the Association of Jesuits Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP). This program focuses on providing facilities for university students under Jesuit to have the ability to carry out socio-cultural analysis of the community so that they understand the problems faced by the community; direct experience of living together with disadvantaged community members; able to cooperate with various parties in carrying out activities, and can apply Ignatian values in everyday life.
Service Learning Program 2026 wIll be held at Instituto de São João de Brito in Timor-Leste, from August 2-16, 2026. This year’s SLP took the theme of “Peace and Reconciliation: A Perspective of Post-Conflict Contry Experience.”
Registration for the 2026 Service Learning Program is now open and will remain open until March 31.

Find the previous reports:
Active students of SDU who have completed or currently taking 90 credits.
Have not taken KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / Community Service)
Minimum GPA 3.00
Have an active passport
Willing to partially cover the transportation fee
Have good English proficiency, proven by TOEFL Certificate or Duolingo (TOEFL iBT-53 / TOEFL ITP – 477 / Duolingo-100 for English Department and TOEFL iBT-32 / TOEFL ITP – 400 / Duolingo-85 for non-English Department)
Able to work actively in a group
Willing to follow the whole SLP processes (Pre-SLP, SLP, Post-SLP)
