Sanata Dharma Attends International Networking Officers (INO) - AJCU-AP Annual Meeting 2022 in Ateneo de Manila, Philippines
After being held online for the previous two years, The International Networking Officers (INO) – AJCU-AP Annual Meeting was hosted offline on November 30, 2022, by Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
A total of 16 delegates from ten member institutions attended this meeting: Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, Fu Jen Catholic University, Myanmar Leadership Institute, Sanata Dharma University, Sogang University, Sophia University, and Xavier Learning Community, in addition to three delegates from The Beijing Center via Zoom. Sanata Dharma was represented by two delegates, which are the Vice-Rector for Collaborations and Alumni Affairs, Caecilia Tutyandari, PhD; and the Head of the International Office, Yurisdixta Menavia.
The 2022 INO annual meeting went on for a day and the discussion was divided into several Agenda with a total of three speakers:
- Fr. Roberto C. Yap, SJ – Ateneo de Manila President and AJCU-AP President
- Fr. Antonio Moreno SJ – Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific President
- Fr. Johnny Go SJ – Dean of Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design, Ateneo de Manila University
The first agenda discussed was The Development Programs Proposal for Faculty and Administrators. There are four programs presented in the discussion that AJCU-AP members are able to apply to their faculties and administrators. The programs delivered are Training in Higher Education Ignatian Pedagogy, Ignatian Leadership in Higher Education, Graduate Certificate Program in Higher Education Learning and Teaching, and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
The following agendas are the next installments of the association’s flagship programs, the Service Learning Program (SLP) and the Global Leadership Program (GLP). The plan, target implementation dates, the host, and other further aspects of the plan for the following Service Learning Program and Global Leadership Program in 2023 were discussed.
The meeting continued with Fr. Antonio Moreno SJ, where the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific (JCAP) offered suggestions for AJCU-AP Activities around collaboration within the member institution. Following the suggestions, proposals for several programs were discussed, including Ignatian Leadership in Higher Education Training, Partnership Growth and Development with The Beijing Center, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) for AJCU-AP partner institutions, and Leadership and Friendship Retreat. The discussion then shifted to reading previous meeting minutes, a report on RTD and Ignatian year events, and updates from AJCU-AP members. At the end of the meeting, the AJCU-AP INO Meeting Schedule for the following year 0f 2023 was discussed as well as its possible host.
