Outbound Credited Program

Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is a scholarship program run by the Indonesian government to help Indonesian students participate in mobility programs at leading institutions throughout the world. Undergraduate students might spend one semester studying, experiencing the host country’s culture, and doing practical tasks to enhance their abilities at the foreign university partner.

The plan is administered by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE) and is accessible to undergraduate students from all Indonesian higher education institutions. This program is also fully funded by the Ministry.

In this program, awardees will be guaranteed 20 Indonesian credits upon program completion. They are encouraged to pursue their interests through multidisciplinary courses, and they will gain knowledge and skills from world-renowned universities all around the world. They also will cultivate cross-cultural skills & awareness and build international connections to equip them for future workplaces.

IISMA 2021

In the odd semester of 2021, three students from Sanata Dharma University had been elected to receive the award and travel abroad to spend a semester studying in each of their chosen universities. Two of the students were from the English Letters program, and one was from the English Language Education program.

Find the previous reports:

  • Enrolled as an active Undergraduate Indonesian Student of recognized universities in Indonesia under Directorate of Higher Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (DGHERT) during application and during the program;
  • An Indonesian citizen (WNI) currently residing in Indonesia and do not have dual citizenship;
  • In the 4th or 6th semester at the time of the program application in 2022;
  • Maximum 23 years old on July 1, 2022;
  • Never have taken college leave during undergraduate study;
  • Never have participated in an overseas physical mobility/exchange program including: Summer Program, Internship, Exchange, Credit Mobility, Sit-in, Dual/double degree during undergraduate study;
  • Have a cumulative GPA of minimum 3.0 (out of 4.0) proven by latest academic transcript;
  • Have adequate English proficiency with minimum score of IELTS – 6.0, TOEFL iBT – 78, Duolingo English Test – 100
  • Nominated by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs of your home university;
  • Not receiving any living allowance from the other funding/scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and Indonesian Endowment Fund (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan – LPDP) during the IISMA Program;
  • Not participating in other Kampus Merdeka programs at the same time as the IISMA Program;
  • Not have participated in more than one (1) Kampus Merdeka Program prior to the IISMA Program;
  • Never have violated the rules, norms, and/or laws applied in Indonesia;
  • Willing to follow the rules and regulations during participating in IISMA.
  • Recommendation letter signed by Head of International Office on behalf of Vice Rector of Academic Affairs.
  • English proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL-iBT/Duolingo).
  • Academic transcript (in English).
  • Declaration of Non-Enrollment in A Physical/Non-Online International Student Mobility/Exchange Program
  • Declaration of Clearance from Narcotic, Psychotropic, or other addictive substance.
  • Declaration of Non-Involvement in Sexual Violence.
  • Prepare the required documents.

  • Compile the required documents into ONE PDF FILE (no more than 100 MB).

  • Submit the compiled documents to the International Office of Sanata Dharma University at io@usd.ac.id.

  • After the International Office approves their registration and the applicants get a recommendation letter from the university, complete the registration form on the Kampus Merdeka website.
  • Students passing the administrative selection will receive a notification from the website regarding the date and time of their interview.
  • The announcement of the awardees will then be done through the help of the International Office of every university whose students are accepted to this program.
